KNYSNA NEWS - These photos, taken by Tony Geldenhuys in Brenton-on-Lake, show some of the aftermath of the heavy rains that pelted down on Knysna from Tuesday afternoon 14 November.
Geldenhuys said he and other residents spent most of the night and the next day clearing the mud that came down the hill from above their homes, while the roads entering Brenton and along the coastline were covered in what he referred to as a sludge.

The only other major reported incident was the temporary closure of one lane of the N2 between Buffalo Bay and Sedgefield on Tuesday evening after mud covered part of the highway.
Rainfall of up to 50mm at places, notably Diepwalle, was measured, said SANParks spokesperson Nandi Mgwadlamba, adding that no further incidents were reported as a result of the rain.
