KNYSNA NEWS - A Knysna funeral parlour is calling for the help of the public to identify a man that has been dead for two months, but all efforts to track down his family have been in vain.
According to Neels Barnardo of the funeral parlour, the man walked into the Kwanokuthula Clinic two months ago complaining of chest pains and later died of a heart attack.
The body was taken away by the funeral parlour (Barnard chose to withhold the name), at which time it was discovered that the deceased did not have any personal belongings on his person other than a pill prescription.
Through the label on the prescription they were able to identify him as Norman Leonard Warren, as well as make out his last known address as being in Newton Street in Knysna.
According to the prescription label he was born on 17 September 1951, which would have made him 69 at the time of his death. He is said to have been well-dressed at the time of his passing.
The funeral parlour is desperately seeking any relatives in order to give him a proper burial after having exhausted all other possible measures to trace them and in the position of only being able to hold the body for a further month before it must be buried.
Anyone who knows the deceased is urged to contact Neels Barnardo on 079 814 4845.
