KNYSNA NEWS - Oakhill’s pre-preparatory school, Little Oaks, had a fantastic week celebrating spring, the joy of giving and dads.
The annual Teddy Bear’s Picnic, which took place on Saturday 9 September, is always a firm favourite on the Oakhill calendar, heralding the start of spring and a day full of activities and treats, all with the greater purpose of giving to those less fortunate.
Once again, the Grade R concert, the Ugly Bug Ball, was a highlight of the morning.

Oakhill would like to thank all the parents, grandparents and friends who so lovingly knitted and donated the teddy bears that will be handed over next term to Babies in Need, a Knysna foundation run by volunteers and aimed at providing basic requirements to moms and babies at the Knysna Provincial Hospital.
In addition to this spring tradition, Little Oaks also treated their dads on Thursday 14 September.
Due to the June fires, the usual Father’s Day event had to be postponed, thus resulting in this belated Dad’s Evening.
With the emphasis on recycled rockets, dads built and launched an array of creative and amazing rockets with their children.
It was truly a special evening.
