KNYSNA NEWS - PROPERTY-RELATED INCIDENTS:
TOWN AREA
THEFT - GREY STR (Thurs 9 November @ 09h41) - Site foreman reported a 25l of diesel was stolen from the property. The previous night, Allsound Officers had chased 4 suspects and recovered the diesel. Information was handed over to SAPS with identity of suspects and diesel was returned to owner.
THEFT OUT M.V. - FICHAT STR (Fri 10 November @ 01h45) - Client reported motor vehicle break-in. Owner heard car alarm and found car door open. Nothing stolen, no case opened.
SHOPLIFTING - MAIN STR (Fri 10 November @ 11h32) - Allsound guards reported female suspect was apprehended for shoplifting. SAPS were notified, case was opened and suspect charged.
SHOPLIFTING - MAIN STR (Sat 11 November @ 13h09) - Allsound guards reported suspect was caught after shoplifting goods to value of R1 300. Case was opened and suspect was handed over to SAPS.
BURGLARY - GORDON STR (Sun 12 November @ 05h20) - Guard on site noticed container in neighbouring property was broken into and padlock missing. Owners were notified, unable to identify what was missing. No case was opened.
THEFT - ST GEORGES STR (Wed 15 November @ 17h31) - Officer responded to panic alarm. Owner reported suspect stole from the shop but dropped all the items when chased. All goods recovered, no case was opened.
KNYSNA HEIGHTS / PARADISE / HEUWELKRUIN
THEFT - WESTHILL DR (Thurs 9 November @ 19h11) - Client reported that his car cover was stolen. Theft occurred some time in preceding hour. No suspect description available.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - BOSHOFF CLOSE (Fri 10 November @ 04h16) - Resident reported an attempted break-in at garage. No access was gained and nothing reported missing.
OLD PLACE / COSTA SARDA
BURGLARY - ASSEGAAI STR (Thurs 9 November @ 13h30) - Client phoned to report that outside store was broken into during the night. Items missing included a weed-eater. No case opened.
FISHER HAVEN / HUNTERS HOME / REXFORD
BURGLARY - FRASER STR (Thurs 9 November @ 11h35) - Resident phoned in to report a break-in at their cottage sometime during the night. Window and burglar bars were forced open. A tablet, handbag and alcohol were reported missing. Case was opened.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - HOPE STR (Thurs 9 November @ 13h10) - Client telephoned to report an attempted break-in at garage. She heard a loud noise and someone running. Force marks found on garage door but no entry was gained.
BURGLARY - STRYDOM STR (Fri 10 November @ 02h12) - Officer responded to alarm and confirmed break-in at garage. Window was broken, unknown losses at the time. SAPS were notified and area patrolled. No suspects found.
BURGLARY - WILSON STR (Fri 10 November @ 04h08) - Resident reported a break-in. Kitchen window was forced open. Wine, laptop, cellphone, bag with cash and cards reported missing. A watch was recovered on the property. SAPS were on site, case was opened.
THEFT - LINDSAY STR (Sun 12 November @ 12h45) - Client reported that handles were stolen off garage door. Time of incident unknown. No case opened.
BURGLARY - BARACUDA STR (Sun 12 November @ 16h56) - Owner reported a break-in at property via upstairs window. Unable to confirm losses at the time. SAPS were notified but no case was opened.
