KNYSNA NEWS - ATTEMPTED SHOPLIFTING - THESEN HARBOUR TOWN (Fri 10 Mar @ 15h51) - Officers responded to a panic alarm. Shop owner reported that someone tried to shoplift from the premises. A clothing description was provided and officers apprehended the man. Nothing was found in his possession, no case was opened.

THEFT OUT M.V. - MAIN STR (Fri 10 Mar @ 23h59) - Client requested assistance after reporting that an illegal parking attendant had stolen tools from his vehicle. The suspect had already fled. SAPS were notified.

BURGLARY - GORDON STR (Sun 12 Mar @ 19h54) - Officers responded to alarm signal and confirmed a break-in. Back door was forced open and a laptop stolen. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.

PARADISE / KNYSNA HEIGHTS / HEUWELKRUIN -

ATTEMPTED THEFT OUT M.V.- CIRCULAR DR (Sat 11 Mar @ 03h13) - Client telephoned to report that there was an intruder on his property who tried to break into his vehicle. Suspect fled when owner disturbed him. No case opened.

THEFT OUT M.V. - LOWER CIRCULAR DR (Sat 11 Mar @ 06h53) - Client phoned in to report that 2 guest vehicles were broken into during the night. Items of clothing were reported missing. SAPS were notified and cases opened.

BURGLARY - EDWARDS STR (Sun 12 Mar @ 02h26) - Resident requested assistance after intruder broken in at one of the flats. Sliding door was forced open, a cellphone, handbag with cash and jewellery was stolen. Case was opened. No suspects found.

WELBEDACHT / EASTFORD DOWNS AND RIDGE -

ATTEMPTED THEFT - CHERRY LANE (Mon 13 Mar @ 11h37) - ADT phoned our Control Room requesting assistance at client's premises. Suspect had stolen wiring and plugs. Suspect fled leaving the stolen items behind. No clothing description was available. SAPS were notified.

OLD PLACE / COSTA SARDA -

ATTEMPTED THEFT - DIKKOP STR (Thurs 9 Mar @ 18h55) - Client telephoned to report that someone tried to break off their outside tap without success. No case was opened.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - BOEKENHOUT STR (Sun 12 Mar @ 04h15) - Officer responded to panic alarm. A window had been broken but no access gained. Allsound Officers apprehended 2 juvenile suspect who had tried to break in. No case was opened and the 2 were handed over to SAPS.

INDUSTRIAL AREA / NEKKIES / CONCORDIA -

THEFT - MEEU STR (Fri 10 Mar @ 09h18) - Client phoned in to report that a 25 litre petrol cannister was stolen from the premises during the night. No case was opened.

FISHER HAVEN / HUNTERS HOME / REXFORD -

THEFT - LINDSAY STR (Sat 11 Mar @ 11h10) - Client reported that guests washing stolen off the line some time during the night. No description of suspect availabe. Case not opened.

THE HEADS -

THEFT - GEORGE REX DR (Sat 11 Mar @ 21h23) - Client activated the panic for assistance after a cellphone was stolen from site. Client would further investigate as it appeared to be an internal theft. No case opened at the time.

BRENTON ON SEA / LAKE BRENTON -

THEFT - CR SWART DR (Fri 10 March @ 09h45) - Client stopped our Response Officer to report that a guests' bag was stolen the previous night. Bag contained keys, credit cards and purse. SAPS were notified.

BURGLARY - DOLPHIN AVE (Sun 12 Mar @ 09h35) - Resident phoned our Control Room to report that he had break in at his home. Time of incident was unknown. Owner reported that a backpack and clothing was stolen. Case was opened with SAPS.

BURGLARY - WK GROBLER (Tues 14 Mar @ 15h47) - Resident requested assisted after a cottage on the property was broken into. A large old TV, a Kindle and jewellery was reported missing. Break-in occurred some time between 07h30 and 13h00. Case was opened.

RHEENENDAL / PHANTOM RIVER -

BURGLARY - RHEENENDAL RD (Sat 11 Mar @ 19h31) - Officer responded to alarm signal and confirmed break-in at storeroom. Owner confirmed that old milk was missing. No case opened.

BUFFALO BAY -

BURGLARY - DASSIE STR (Thurs 9 Mar @ 07h51) - Guests reported a break-in at the property. Entry gained via open window. A camera, a Go-Pro, a GPS, a small radio and a bag of clothing was reported missing. Break-in occurred some time during the night. Case was opened.

THEFT OF VEHICLE - GRYSBOK STR (Fri 10 Mar @ 06h29) - Owner telephoned our control room to report that their white Isuzu bakkie was stolen some time during the night. SAPS were notified to open a case.

BURGLARY / THEFT - SAND STR (Fri 10 Mar @ 08h40) - Owner reported that 2 spotlights were stolen off their outside walls. On inspection of the house, it was found that the suspect/s had also entered the house via unlocked sliding door. Nothing missing from inside the home. 1 spotlight was recovered in the garden. SAPS were notified.
