KNYSNA NEWS - In recognition of Nelson Mandela and as part of the annual 67 minutes for Madiba celebrations, Oakhill Prep School ran a cupcake drive on Thursday 6 September.
The idea was the brainchild of one of our Grade 5 children who wanted to do something to recognise those that serve us and to give them something small in return.
Each child in Oakhill Prep made six plain cupcakes at home and then took these to school to be iced and decorated, whereafter the cupcakes were distributed along with individual messages of thanks from the children to the causes identified.

In total, about a thousand cupcakes were distributed to emergency services, the municipality, charities and other organisations that serve the community.
Joshua Harvey, Nellie Hansson and Oliver Hansson surprise the police department with boxes of cupcakes.
