KNYSNA NEWS - Engines were revved and smiles were wide as the MG Car Club South Cape held a classic car parade from Church Street into Spring Street on Tuesday 10 October, to the delight of the kids of Lukhanyiso Safe House.
The car parade was not the only surprise that the learners received on the day as the club also donated two tablets to their homeschooling programme.
The Lukhanyiso Safe House, which previously operated from Concordia, has been moved to a more central location due to a break-in. The two tablets which were donated to the school are crucial for students' education and especially one learner, who is currently gearing up for matric.
The support of Lukhanyiso comes from Ella Mapurisa and Penny Mainwaring of Emzini Tours, who are passionate about the well-being of children in the community.
The MG Car Club got involved in a organisation per a wish list passed on by the Rotary Anns. Chairperson of the MG Car Club, Jill Morse, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to pass on the donation to Lukhanyiso.
