KNYSNA NEWS - There is great excitement in Knysna as water polo players from schools across South Africa, by invitation of Oakhill School, visit our beautiful town for the annual Oakhill Waterfront Chukka Festival, now in its ninth year.
The continued support from Knysna Waterfront Quays and local businesses is overwhelming and together Oakhill is able to give festival participants and spectators a truly magnificent Knysna experience.
These festivals have become an integral part of Oakhill School, not only to grow the game of water polo but also to showcase everything Knysna has to offer to festival visitors.
Active Education and Let's Play SuperSport are an integral part of the action with Oakhill, capturing the special moments for social media and television.
Both the Oakhill College and Preparatory offerings continue to have extensive appeal and attract over |1 000 participants and related visitors to Knysna.
Participation is highly sought after and schools across the country are on waiting lists for future inclusion over the respective weekends.
Starting this past weekend with the Prep School, the festival fever will continue for the rest of the month as U19 and U15 participants battle it out in the water.

This coming weekend, we can look forward to the U19 College players displaying their skills with 15 boys' and 15 girls' teams from 22 schools hailing from Pretoria, Cape Town, Stellenbosch, East London, Port Elizabeth, Grahamstown and George. And from 28 February to 3 March, it will be the U15 players who will join in the splashing fun.
Come enjoy the festival vibe and support the players at our unique festival venue at Knysna Waterfront Quays, where local restaurants and sponsors Drydock and 34South offer the best views of all the action.
