KNYSNA NEWS - Hornlee-based women's organisation Changes of Knysna hosted a very successful high tea on Women's Day, 9 August, for more than 200 women.
"Different stakeholders that Changes have been working with over the years, among others, bought into the idea of hosting tables that were beautifully set for the occasion," said Lynn Kayster of the organisation.
These stakeholders included Knysna Police, Knysna Initiative for Learning and Teaching and the Knysna Alcohol and Drugs Centre.
The event also featured beautiful spiritual dancing by the Kingdom Ambassadors dancers.
"This day could not have been possible or successful if it wasn't for the financial assistance from a few local councillors, Garden Route District Municipality speaker Georlene Wolmarans, Councillor Neil Louw, local pastors, as well as members of Changes of Knysna and all loyal stakeholders," said Kayster.
"A special thanks to Aschin Klein (KST Shuttles) for generously transporting 50 elderly ladies to and from the event. Also Mandy Pofadder for the beautiful décor and her husband Donovan for sound and being the master of ceremony for the event in an amazing fashion. Changes of Knysna appreciates all and everything."
Lezille Payle and Eleanor Moos were the hosts of one of the tables set up by Knysna Police.
