According to a bystander, the driver of a white Nissan Sentra lost control of the vehicle in the slight bend of the road, left the road, collided with garden walls and overturned twice, coming to rest on its roof.
Emergency services responded to the scene and the driver was transported to hospital. The extent of his injuries are not known. No other people were injured.
Police said that the investigation was still at an early stage and that no arrests had been made.
