GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Building up to the annual Oudtshoorn Spring Festival (OSF) that features artists from their entire Southern Cape region, team OSF rocked up at Ingoma and gave locals a slice of what is in store for them.
The main event is scheduled to take place on 20 October at Bongolethu Stadium and will feature Knysna’s DJs Abo, Busqo, Jerry, Mjilo and glimpses of Vuvu Ralushe’s green carpet.
During its launch in 2015 there were just over 500 people, growing to 1 800 last year and attracting interest from artists as far afield as Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Beaufort West.

The event is the brainchild of brand and events management company Real Simzee's Siyanda Masiba who is originally from Ezibeleni in the Eastern Cape but based in Oudtshoorn since 2008.
Masiba says the festival caters for all races and classes and this year they have invited the Gqom duo and Omunye hitmakers Distruction boys.
The 36-year-old says 15% of the proceeds will be set aside for courses for matriculants interested in managing and organising events.
Explaining this he says the OSF is all about building a legacy. “There needs to be continuity and the next child who is passionate about putting things together doesn’t have to go through the same hurdles I went through.”
He says this is to teach the children in the Southern Cape region how to better apply their minds and that one doesn’t need to have a job to have a salary.
Real Simzee has extended an invitation to all locals to party it up with them at the said date for a good cause.
