PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Thanks to a vigilant Kwanokuthula resident, an abandoned new-born baby’s life was saved.
Plettenberg Bay Crime Prevention Association (PBCPA) operations head Otto Olivier said a member of the community reported that he had heard a baby crying in a bushy area in the township on Sunday night.
When authorities arrived they searched the area and found a new-born baby lying in the bushes crying. An ambulance was immediately requested while the baby was kept warm in an emergency blanket.
It is believed that the mother of the infant was also found thanks to the assistance of the community and both were taken to a local hospital.
