KNYSNA NEWS - The Knysna police request the public to assist with the search for Katriena Ferreira (71) from Bergplaas near Karatara who was reported as missing by her daughter on Monday, 11 September 2017.
According to police spokesperson Chris Spies, “preliminary investigation indicates that the family went to bed on Sunday evening. A family member went to the room of the 71-year-old during the early hours of Monday morning and discovered that the woman was gone. She was last seen at her home dressed in a blue denim skirt and red jersey.”
Members of the police as well as a SAPS trained search and rescue dog from the Tsitsikamma K9 has been searching the area since the woman was reported missing.
“The search for the missing person will continue today and the public are requested to come forward with any information that may assist with this search operation,” said Spies who added anyone with information may contact the investigating officer, warrant officer Japie Petersen on 044 302 6687.
All information will be dealt with confidentially.
