NATIONAL NEWS - Elections analyst Dawie Scholtz tweeted the voter turn-out statistics as at 13:30 today, Monday 1 November.
The numbers are low across all nine provinces, with the Western Cape, at just 13,7%, in the bottom five.
"I've seen the provincial breakdowns of turnout as at 13:30," he tweeted.
The numbers, excluding special votes, were as follows:
Nothern Cape 16.3%
Limpopo 15%
Free State 14.8%
Gauteng 14.3%
Western Cape 13.7%
Eastern Cape 13.5%
KZN 13.3%
North West 13%
Mpumalanga 12.8%
