ELECTION NEWS - Voters in Knysna have had the fortune of enjoying a seamless voting process thus far on Election Day.
Voting began at 07:00 this morning with voting stations opening nationwide for citizens to make their mark.
Three of Knysna's voting stations - Oakhill School, Town Hall, and Vineyard Church - have thus far facilitated voters without any major problems or interruptions.
Knysna mayor Mark Willemse made his mark by casting his vote at the voting station at Oakhill School this morning.
The only 'issue' at any of the three stations was at Town Hall where voters from outside the feeding area have come to vote, which has slowed the process, according to the presiding officer.
Voters at the stations were also fortunate enough to have the chance to take cover when it began raining this morning, but thankfully the skies have begun to clear.
Voting will continue at all stations until 21:00 tonight.
