The employees who work at Rotek stopped working yesterday morning, saying the state utility owes them bonuses.
But Eskom says performance bonuses are based on specific targets, which they didn't meet.
Spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe says now they want a wage increase.
"They are saying that they need to get something from Eskom, given the fact that the company has done relatively well over the last financial year. So, the offer that we’re making to them basically relates to giving them something equivalent to what we did last year, which is some kind of ex gratia payment.”
