KNYSNA NEWS AND VIDEO - Local community activist Lynn Kayster, alongside Ward 11 representatives and other concerned residents, are currently in a tense stand-off with Knysna Municipal Manager Lulamile Mapholoba, chairperson of the Infrastructure Services Committee Russel Arends, and officials from the Directorate of Water and Sanitation.
The confrontation comes in response to a renewed water crisis affecting multiple areas after a planned outage on Saturday 11 October.
The emergency meeting is being held in the Knysna municipal boardroom.
Meanwhile, Knysna Municipality has issued a notice of level 3 water restrictions.
The flow of the Knysna River is currently extremely low. It is important that residents keep in mind that Level 3 water restrictions remain in effect and must be strictly adhered to.
