This exciting charity-driven event takes place during the annual Pick n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival.
"Great prizes are up for grabs, which include sponsors from Protea Hotels, Van Loveren Wines, Pick n Pay, Botlierskop Game Reserve and much more," explained Eugéne Barnard, events manager.
Waitrons from various establishments race against each other and the clock, while carrying an open bottle of wine and two filled wine glasses precariously balanced on a tray. Van Loveren Wine Estate sponsors the wine used during the event.
Music will be provided by well-known local DJ, Nicsun of Tryst Dance Club.
Barnard explained: "A wine tasting will also be available on the day. So if you’re not participating, please come along and support the teams!"
In conclusion he said, "We are extremely thrilled to be hosting the event for the eighth year and, as always, we are looking forward to a well-supported turnout."
The entry fee is R200 per team and all proceeds will be donated to a local charity organisation.
