ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - Two local female singer-songwriters and producers, Heather Waters and Bea Crawford, have just returned from a 6-week musical road trip around Australia. In Kiama, they spent time recording their latest single release in collaboration with the lead singer of Australian band Kingdog and The Catz, Ian King, with Heather co-producing and Bea featuring on backing vocals. They shared their original South African homegrown music with Aussie audiences at some of the top music venues in the country, such as Mojo's in Fremantle and the Hard Rock Café in Surfers Paradise, covering over 4 000km of coastline on a serendipitous adventure in their camper van.

Bea Crawford, lead vocalist of Barefoot Music, is an incredibly talented singer and songwriter with a distinctive, powerful voice. She is also known in George as the vivacious former manager of the George Arts Theatre.
She performs at golf clubs, wine farms, corporate events and restaurants, like George Golf Club, Glenwood Golf Club, Truck and Vine Fest in Plettenberg Bay, Mujo's, Surf Café and others.
Heather Waters has been touring with her thought-provoking acoustic folk-rock songs in various countries for more than a decade, enchanting audiences in Majorca, Corsica, UK, Ireland, Mozambique and South Africa. Many of her songs have been play-listed on radio stations both here and abroad.
Waters will be appearing at two gigs in the area this month before going on her next South African tour to launch her new power-rock single, Tear This Apart. This powerful song was mixed and mastered by popular George-based sound engineer and producer, Darryl de Lange.
Before she hits the road again, make sure you catch her at Surf Café in Plettenberg Bay on 21 July or Dragon's Den in George for a Sunday acoustic session on 29 July.
