GARDEN ROUTE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - Local fans will be excited to hear that touring folk-rock singer-songwriter Heather Waters will be visiting the Garden Route for a series of shows in the area over the next few weeks.
Waters’ latest singles, dropped last year: ‘A Long Way Home’ and ‘Slow Drive’ which were picked up and featured on BBC - well worth a listen!
As Aidan Harper from My Music Matrix magazine succinctly describes it: “Heather Waters just oozes freshness. Her expressive nature puts you into that late 60’s trance that, if you let everything around you fade into the background and zoom backwards into that time-warp, where freedom-of-expression reigned supreme, -you’ll get an inkling of what her music is all about. This is particularly evident as she has an incredibly unique approach in both sound and performance.”
With a heart for educational and economic development of our country, Waters is well known for her bi-annual tours along the Coastal Route, where she and her band have in the past, promoted awareness and raised funds for developmental Community Projects in the areas they have visited over the years.
Waters’ love for touring does not just include all corners of South Africa, but she has also been invited to tour and perform around countries such as Mozambique, United Kingdom, Australia, America, Corsica, and other parts of the Mediterranean.
