KNYSNA NEWS - For the first time in four years, Carmen's School of Dance hosted a high tea event last week.
It was aimed at giving the young dancers a chance to showcase what they've been working on in preparation for upcoming dance festivals.
In the past, the event was a key part of the dance school's annual calendar, but it became one of the casualties of the Covid-19 pandemic.
While events of a similar nature have been organised in between, it's taken four years for the annual Carmen's School of Dance High Tea to return in its traditional format, where family and friends of the dancers are able to sit down around a table and enjoy some great dancing while enjoying tea, coffee and snacks.
This year, the event held on Friday 21 July was sold out and the Knysna Primary School hall was packed.
In total, 25 items were performed during the show, which was intersected by a break for attendees to enjoy their refreshments and snacks.

All of the dances that were performed are items that are going to be performed at the upcoming Nelson Mandela Bay Eisteddfod and the Friendly City Dance Festival. The dancers ranged from as young as seven years old up to 16.
The girls made their loved ones proud, putting nothing but their very best on display.
