KNYSNA NEWS - Easter is set to once again be a hopping great time in Knysna, with a host of South African and international artists on the cards to perform during April and May.
No less than six shows will be coming to Knysna over the next six weeks courtesy of event organisers Better Live, satisfying just about every type of music taste along the way.
It will all kick off this weekend on Saturday 1 April when Gareth James visits again for another of his exceptional acts - this time an ode to Bryan Adams.
With a vast repertoire, James and the band reproduce anything from the heartfelt ballads of Heaven and Everything I Do, to the fist waving rock of Can't Stop This Thing We Started and Summer of '69.
The show appeals to a broad range of people and provides a rare opportunity for fans to see a new spin on the classic hits.
Kicking off Easter Weekend on Thursday 6 April is a newcomer to Knysna: Jack Stone and his tribute to Bruce Springsteen. Stone will deliver a performance that will make Springsteen mightily proud! His delivery, his sensitivity and knowledge of the subject material is astounding.
The Black Cat Bones
Friday 7 April sees a magical afternoon of music, spanning the two decades of Arno Carstens' extraordinary career, from the mighty anthems of Springbok Nude Girls to the iconic singles of his solo career. One not to miss!
And no rock weekend would be complete without The Black Cat Bones. "SA's hardest working band" are back in Knysna on Saturday 8 April to bring you a fresh new show with lots of Easter surprises and the promise of a jaw-droppingly good time.
Bring the family and friends and come enjoy the holiday with one of South Africa's most-loved live acts.
It will then be three weeks before Knysna is treated again, but on Friday 28 April Canadian duo Neon Dreams will play out their extended South African stay with their last tour for a good while.
The duo of Frank Kadillac and Adrian Morris (now honorary South Africans), have announced 18 dates across South Africa and Namibia as part of their Sunshine Tour - and Knysna is lucky enough to be included. The tour will feature fellow Canadian and platinum-selling artist Coleman Hell alongside fresh new Johannesburg upstarts the Saxby Twins.

And finally, a comedy act so ridiculously good it needed two promoters! Collaborating with prominent organiser Sasha Campbell of Sasha Events, Better Live co-presents I'm not a Violent Person on Saturday 13 May.
Hosted by the stand-up drag queen of comedy (who is the warm-up act), the show stars Beryl Cohen who rose to fame during Covid-19 to become the princess of the pandemic. It's a show packed with nostalgia, comedy and dance from the campest kugel in Sea Point.
