KNYSNA NEWS -The third-term SWD YTC high school girls’ rugby programme opened with a strong statement from Kilt Girls at Knysna Loerie Park Fields last Wednesday, 27 August.
In the U16 section, Titans WRA began the day positively, defeating Barbarians 35-10. That proved to be the only points conceded by any side involving Kilt. The Kilt under-16 team responded with clinical efficiency, shutting out Titans WRA 27-0 before completing a double over Barbarians with a 15-0 victory.
The under-18 fixture followed the same pattern. Kilt Girls once again kept a clean sheet, defeating Titans WRA 19-0.
The results formed the first leg of the Knysna region’s high school girls’ 10s fixtures. The day was framed around the values of the programme - “Stronger Together. Better Every Day” and “Play Respect Grow Lead Inspire” with Kilt continuing its partnership under the banner of investing in education and changing lives.
