CYCLING NEWS - The Witfontein Enduro delivered on its promise to provide some of the best racing in the country for the third round of the Western Cape Enduro Series and the fourth and final round of the SA Enduro Cup Series.
About 150 mountain bikers flocked to George on Sunday 15 September for a day of racing.
With six downhill stages, the Witfontein trails have been dubbed by some as the most anticipated stop on the Western Cape Enduro with amazing trails, great hospitality and lekker people.
This was made possible by the Hillbillies Mountain Bike Club and the Barrett family, who organised the event. Cannondale, Leatt and Ride Life Bike Shop also backed the race this year. The water table was proudly run by Squirt Cycling.
Winners
Matt Lombardi and Jessi Nixon won the respective men's and ladies' categories at the 4th national Enduro of the year.
This win secured Lombardi the national overall Enduro title, and was Nixon's first national win of the year.
