KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna Bowls Club is having a successful start to the year in the Eden District Lawn Bowls competitions.
On 31 January members of the club succeeded in taking both the men's and ladies single titles, competing against 111 other senior bowlers (75 men and 36 women) from some of the 20 other clubs in Eden district.
Arlene Bosse won the 2019 Eden Senior Ladies' Singles Title, and Edward (Ted) Coetzee the Eden Senior Men's Singles Title, allowing the club to hold both gender's title concurrently.
On top of that Knysna's first ladies team also won the prestigious Eden District Premier League title on 26 January, which is a great accomplishment against strong opposition, particularly from the bigger clubs in George.
According to a spokesperson the club is very proud of all their bowlers competing in district events.
