That wasn’t the only incident as the race was stopped in the early stages when Kevin Magnussen suffered a heavy crash.
The Dane walked away from his Renault with nothing more than an injured ankle. Lewis Hamilton put on a driving spectacle to finish third after starting from the back of the grid.
Australian Daniel Ricciardo finished second in his Red Bull, but it was Rosberg who controlled the race from start to finish to take his first ever Belgian Grand Prix and his sixth win of the season.
