KNYSNA NEWS – The top golfers at Knysna Golf Club took the course and conquered all at the recent PSG Wealth Knysna Golf Club Championships, where Anthony Parker and Alice Taylor were crowned the men's and women's A Division winners, respectively.
As usual, the championships were held over the course of two days, and this year they were blessed with two fine days of golfing weather on Saturday and Sunday, 18 and 19 March.
The competition this year was widespread once again, with three men's divisions as well as three ladies divisions.
Both the A and B men's and women's divisions were played in the medal format (least shots wins) while the C divisions were played in the stableford format (most points wins).
Some great golf was played during the weekend, dovetailing perfectly with the great weather as well as the wonderful spirit that was on show. Knysna Golf Club general manager Meyer du Toit expressed his immense gratitude for the sponsors who made the event possible.
"A huge thank you must go to our ever-supportive title sponsor, PSG Wealth Knysna, for once again coming on board," he said.
"In addition, we received incredible assistance from sponsors Distriliq, Windhoek, Castle Lite, Coca-Cola, GolferADE, Stellenrust, Du Toitskloof, Alvis Drift, Franschhoek Cellars, Tullamore D.E.W. and KWV Brandy."
