This situation often arises because there is no time – a person rushes in getting to the golf course, then a rush to check in, a rush to change and then a dash to the 1st tee, one practice swing and a hope that the ball will finish somewhere in play.
Another scenario is that many golfers think that a warm up should take a good half hour of stretching, swinging heavy weights and getting into impossible physical positions that may cause injury themselves.
All you need to do is warm up certain areas of the body to prepare yourself for the first few holes and the routine will take you not more than 5 minutes.
By the way, stay away from swinging a heavy weight, are you really going to swing the club that slowly on the first tee? You want to get your sequencing firing as soon as possible so increase blood flow to the muscles through movement which will improve mobility of the joints.
The tip here is here is to stabilise when warming up to mobilise, consult an exercise therapist to optimise your personal warm up techniques and you could well get off to that great start all golfers want.
