GARDEN ROUTE GOLF NEWS - KeNako Academy golfer Calvin Maia enjoyed a great tournament last weekend to walk away as the 2021 Oubaai club champion.
Maia started the tournament off strong, making 10 birdies to shoot an impressive 7 under par 65 on the first day.
After experiencing pristine weather conditions, players were challenged with heavy rain on Sunday after which Calvin shot 1 under par 71 for a total of 136 to win the Oubaai club championships by 10 strokes.
Head golf coach, Roger Wessels, said Calvin has worked hard on adding to his skill level and it was wonderful to see him put those skills into play this weekend.
