KNYSNA FOOTBALL NEWS - The KLFA Super League is edging closer to the completion of its 2020/21 season after yet another round of action this past weekend.
There were 16 matches scheduled to be played on Saturday and Sunday, 28 and 29 August, that would have seen the league's 2020/21 season come to an end, but due to Covid-19-related matters and inclement weather, Saturday’s games were postponed and only five matches were played on Sunday.
This would still see the top three – Voota, Richmond City, and Crossroads – in action though to determine who would gain promotion to the KLFA Domestic League for the 2021/22 season.
Through a victory apiece, Voota and Richmond City did just that, marking the first time either teams will be playing in the top tier of local football.
The title still hangs in the balance however, and will be decided when last weekend's postponed matches are played this weekend.
The full results from Sunday were:
• Richmond City 2-0 Oupad United (walk-over)
• Crossroads 5-0 Southern Stars United
• Sinako FC 1-5 Eleven Attackers
• Southern Stars 0-2 United Voota FC
• Eleven Attackers 1-6 Crossroads
