KNYSNA CRICKET NEWS - Village cricket teams from Knysna, George, Oudtshoorn, and Mossel Bay came together for a day of great cricket last Sunday, 14 March.
The matches were part of a small villagers league that was organised by the Knysna Villagers contingent for the four towns' Villagers teams, in which each team will face the other three opponents on a round-robin basis.
On Abbottsfield A, Oudtshoorn strode out to the middle to bat first, managing to rack up a score of 218-3 in their rain-affected innings that was reduced by two overs to 28 overs.
In the Knysna innings to follow, the men from Oudtshoorn put in a good shift with the ball managing to restrict the home side to 119-6 in their 28 overs, giving Oudtshoorn a 99-run victory.
