KNYSNA NEWS - To close 2010 the Knysna Marathon Club (KMC) held its annual Nite Race, which consists of a 10km run/walk and a 5km run run. It took place on Wednesday, December 15 and welcomed back Castle Lite as the main sponsor.
Over 300 walkers and runners took part in the 10km event and approximately 100 in the 5km fun run.

In the 10km, George Ntshiliza of Nedbank Running Club won in a time of 00:30:58. Frans Malgas was the first KMC runner to finish in a time of 00:33:20 (fourth overall), while Melissa van As of Nedbank Running Club was the first lady in a time of 00:39:59 (27th overall).

Sabrina Battgain of Hoërskool Garsfontien was first to finish in the 5km fun run with Wilto Henakom of Durbanville Laerskool coming in a close second.

KMC’s top three 10km runners were Frans Malgas (00:33:20), Zuzile Ntisinyabo (00:34:12) and Melikhaya Msizi (00:34:43).
