I met this remarkable, strong woman as a fighter. Her smile just brightens your day when she enters a room. Then Covid struck, and that deadly virus messed with the wrong woman. It put her on a ventilator for more or less five weeks, but she fought back, and she came back stronger than ever. She gave hope to those who thought life was over. She is a role model to many, but for me she is an extraordinary human being whom I salute every day. She taught me to smile through my pain. I admire the strength that she has. Her multi-tasking skills are out of this world. Her juggling skills with work and being a full- time mom motivated and amazes me day by day. She makes time and listens to you and give you the best advice ever. I have learned to survive, laugh, live, love and care through and from this remarkable, beautiful soul. Her faith she has in God is the most important tool, and she still uses it. I thank God for sending Erna Enslin into my life, her life story gives me hope and makes me realise that you are never too old, and it is never too late to learn. Chasing stars with her is awesome. Well done aunty Erna, as I call her, may your journey be filled with happiness, joy and laughter. Team Enslin ROCKS!
