KNYSNA NEWS - Carmen's School of Dance marked the end of the year with a memorable year-end production, celebrating months of achievement across competitions, performances, and international ballet examinations.
The two-day show was hosted at the Knysna High School Hall on Friday and Saturday, 5 and 6 November.
This annual showcase allowed every dancer to step into the spotlight, demonstrating technical progress, dedication, artistry, and love of dance.
This year's production, themed Time of the Netjeru, transported audiences to the world of ancient Egypt, drawing inspiration from its mythology and belief systems.
Students explored the rich creative landscape the theme offered, and infused each role with expression and personal interpretation.
From the beginners to the students preparing to graduate, they brought timeless stories to life for an appreciative audience of family, friends and supporters.
"It was a spectacular finale to a remarkable year - one that beautifully reflected the spirit, passion, and commitment that define Carmen's School of Dance," said the dance school owner and founder, Carmen de Sousa.
