GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Time again to be mesmerised by the wonderful vivid colours in the different varieties of koi that will be displayed on 21 March from 09:00 to 16:00 and 22 March from 09:00 to 13:00 at the George Garden Route Mall.
Organisers hope to once again exceed their record of 360 koi fish ranging from 12cm to over 90cm. Among the 10 judges comprising highly qualified SA adjudicators, there will be two certified judges from Belgium and Holland.
The Southern Cape now ranks as the second-biggest koi chapter in South Africa.
Entrants to the show travel from as far as Cape Town, East London, Port Elizabeth and various other parts of the country. So it is a show not to be missed as there will be, apart from the koi on display, koi for sale as well.
There will also again be a walkabout educational talk commencing at 15:00 on Saturday, during which it will be explained what the judges are talking about and what makes a champion. Entrants interested in the walkabout must please make themselves known at the desk.
