Ramaphosa delivered the governing party’s message of support at the South African Communist Party (SACP)’s 14th National Congress in eastern Johannesburg on Wednesday.
He also lashed out at British PR firm Bell Pottinger accusing it of sowing divisions in the country.
Meanwhile, as the SACP ponders breaking away from the tripartite alliance, Ramaphosa has urged delegates not to take decisions out of anger.
“We must never take decisions out of anger.”
Although delegates at the congress welcomed much of Ramaphosa’s address, they mumbled a bit when he started urging them to reconsider their possible decision to leave the alliance and contest elections.
