Matika was elected today Friday 28 February and replaces former mayor Aubrey Tsengwa who was ousted last week in a motion of no confidence.

KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna municipality has a new mayor, Thando Matika, an ANC proportional representation councillor.


Matika was elected today Friday 28 February and replaces former mayor Aubrey Tsengwa who was ousted last week in a motion of no confidence brought by EFF councillor Neil Louw.

The DA did not put a candidate, so there was no vote.
