KNYSNA NEWS - The two words, “F@#$ you!” directed at DA Councillor Jason White by Knysna Municipal Manager Ombali Sebola, elicited shock and outrage during a Special Council meeting on Friday 3 May.
The meeting was called to consider a second letter from Western Cape Local Government Minister Anton Bredell relating to his notice of Province’s intention to intervene in Knysna Municipality.
Following the swearing incident, Sebola apologised to those present saying: “I am apologising to Council for the previous exchange of words between me and Councillor White.
“I apologise to Councillor White for talking to him like that,” said Sebola.
Asked by KPH for comment, White said: “I have not accepted the MM's apology. I don't think it was enough. My comment did not warrant the response from the Municipal Manager. Including the ‘f… you’ comment.”
