Lindo Mngadi from Richmond in Gingindlovu left home just after 7am when he received a call from his brother for help with a flat on the side of the N2 South just past the Ballito off-ramp.
According to IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst, Mngadi had stopped his Tata Indica behind his brother’s Taz well into the emergency lane and was standing alongside the car when a black BMW crashed into him from behind, crushing him against his car before hitting into the Taz.
The driver of the BMW told The Courier that he lost control of his vehicle, “It was all over so fast, I tried to bring it back under control but by then it was too late.”
