Simba Mhere crash driver to go on trial today

NATIONAL NEWS - The driver accused of causing the crash in which television presenter Simba Mhere died will go on trial today in the Randburg Regional Court.

Preshalin Naidoo has been charged with reckless and negligent driving as well as culpable homicide.

Prosecutors say expert witnesses will testify that Naidoo was travelling at a high speed when he crashed into Mhere’s car.

He and his friend, Kady Shay O’Brien, were both killed in the crash.
