The five were among at least nine people wounded in separate shootings in Manenberg, Mitchells Plain and Retreat over the weekend.
A Manenberg teenager was also those shot and killed over the weekend.
The police’s Frederick van Wyk said unknown gunmen opened fire on the group and killed one of them in Retreat on Saturday.
The others were taken to hospital in a serious condition with gunshot wounds.
“The motive for the shooting is currently unknown but the possibility that it’s gang-related will be investigated. A case of murder and attempted murder were opened.”
