NATIONAL NEWS - Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) head Robert McBride’s daughter has told Eyewitness News that she’s not being used by crime intelligence operatives and that no one has coerced her into making accusations against him.
McBride is being investigated for assault after the teenager claimed that he beat her and tried to strangle her last Sunday.
McBride denies that he assaulted the teenager but rather that he was admonishing her for her rebellious behaviour.
McBride’s daughter says that it is blatantly wrong to suggest that her claims against her father have anything to do with a crime intelligence smear campaign.
