NATIONAL NEWS - Booysens Police Station recently managed to get a conviction for a case of theft registered in Forrest Hill.
Captain Lorraine van Emmerik, spokesperson for Booysens Police Station said: “On September 22, 2021, at 13:00, the complainant, who works for City Power risk control, was informed of theft in Forest Hill. He went to the address where he noticed a suspect. He searched the suspect and found a bag containing City Power properties.
The suspect was then arrested and taken to Booysens SAPS.”
Van Emmerik further said: “A docket was opened and given to Warrant Officer Fanie van Staden to obtain the relevant information for the docket. Recently the suspect was found guilty and sentenced to 12 years imprisonment. The suspect was also declared unfit to possess a firearm.”
