The workers summit will take this place this weekend with 50 unions from different industries meeting in Boksburg, to discuss forming a new federation.
Vavi says workers were inclined to avoid Zuma Must Fall marches that took place across the country this weekend - because of divisions within the movement.
He says while he agrees that President Zuma should step down, it won’t be achieved without the working class.
“Unity is so important, that’s why you didn’t see many of us in the Zuma Must Fall movement yesterday; because we know that that’s going nowhere unless you unite workers into a formidable force to represent their interests.”
