He faces corruption, racketeering and money laundering charges along with Salim Dawjee and three co-accused.
The officers are believed to have accepted money and expensive gifts from Dawjee between 2011 and 2013, in exchange for preferential treatment.
All five accused have pleaded not guilty to the 109 charges of corruption, racketeering and money laundering involving R1.6 million.
Lamoer admits he did receive gifts and money from Dawjee, whom he refers to as “his best friend”, and has known for more than two decades.
