In a statement the municipality said that its technical services department will be working on the planned upgrades from today, Monday 11 February, until Friday 15 February but that the main work is planned for Wednesday and Thursday, 13 and 14 February.
“During this period there may be interruptions in the water supply to certain areas of Knysna. Furthermore, and within the nature of the work to be undertaken, minor water quality issues may also be experienced during this time and shortly thereafter,” the statement read.
The municipality said that every effort will be made to keep interruptions to a minimum, adding that urgent problems can be reported to the water department on 044 302 6300.
