KNYSNA NEWS - Two men have been accused of the rape of a 15-year-old girl earlier this year. They appeared in the Knysna Magistrate's Court on Tuesday 29 August.
According to Southern Cape Police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies, the George Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual offences unit is currently investigating the two cases.
"The investigation of two unrelated case dockets has led to the arrest of two men," said Spies.
The two accused, aged 24 and 42, appeared in the Knysna Magistrate's Court on Wednesday 23 August on unrelated charges of rape.
According to Spies, it's alleged that both accused, raped the 15-year-old girl earlier this year. The victim confided in her next of kin, leading to the opening of the cases in August.
The case was postponed to Thursday 31 August for a formal bail application. Names of the accused and the victim are unavailable due to the nature of the crime.
