KNYSNA NEWS - A bus that caught fire on the N2 outside Knysna towards Plettenberg Bay, has caused a slight backup of traffic.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known, but it seems as though it was the engine that initially caught fire.
This led to the back of the bus eventually catching fire.
The bus then came to a stop a few hundred metres from the Lamco Service Station in Hornlee.
Knysna Fire & Rescue were soon on the scene to extinguish the fire while Knysna Traffic Department and Provincial Traffic regulated traffic flow.
Two lanes have been closed, while two remain open. This has somewhat alleviated the traffic delay, but there is still a slight delay.
