KNYSNA NEWS - On 29 October, Thando House, a sanctuary for rescued babies, opened its doors in Knysna.
It was a community effort to provide a safe and nurturing environment for abandoned and vulnerable babies.
The sanctuary, founded by Pastor Steve Olivier and Dee Olivier, along with the support of Knysna Vineyard Church and the wider community, aims to instill a sense of security, trust and confidence in babies aged 0-2 years.
The vision for Thando House originated from the adoption of Thando by the Senior Pastors' best friends, Richard and Michelle Franzen.
The sanctuary aims to ensure the best possible care for the babies in its care and plans to collaborate with other baby homes in the future to implement best practices for childcare and continuously monitor and evaluate its activities to stay true to its purpose.
