KNYSNA NEWS - A group of avid Springbok supporters from Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and George, driving an old Dodge bus sporting Springbok paraphernalia, were hooted all the way into Gqeberha on Saturday 12 July.
The dozen Bok enthusiasts caused quite a scene driving to St George's Park where they parked the bus, owned by Knysna businessman Dick Goullee.
"It was like being in a wedding parade, sooo much hooting," said Plett resident Noel "Zippy" Shaw. "We all found the atmosphere in the stadium unbelievable. PE put on an unforgettable experience."
Attraction
Around the stadium, too, there was a sea of jolly supporters as people waited to enter. The Springboks delivered the most enjoyable result (for their supporters) – a 45-0 drubbing of the Italians.
And there was also a Plett attraction on the field – Bok replacement prop Asenathi Nhlabakanye, who is formerly from Plettenberg Bay (The Crags).
